Cancer is dangerous. Don’t flirt with disaster. Don’t eat it and don’t go near it. Don’t drink it. Don’t put it on your skin. Yes, this is a warning not to put cancer on or inside your body. Cancer is in GMO pesticide DNA

Cancer thrives in an acid-heavy system, where the blood and the organs are flooded with processed salt, sugar, animal fat and artificial food. The heart and brain struggle to filter out the toxins found in most conventional forms of food, like antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, insecticides, herbicides, bleach, ammonia, fluoride, heavy metals and much more. This is why the doctors and oncologists tell chemo patients not to eat alkalizing foods like kale, because it will “interfere with the chemotherapy.” God forbid you should try to alkalize all that acid that’s killing your GOOD cells. Most cancer patients die as a result of the chemotherapy and radiation damage to their non-cancerous cells. In other words, your good cells that are trying to help your body beat cancer are deprived of oxygen also, leading to new cancers and often death within 5 years. “The most overlooked solution to all manner of illness and disease is perhaps the simplest. All pathogens, viruses, and parasites are anaerobic. They thrive in the absence of oxygen, but cannot survive with an abundance of oxygen. Even cancer cells cannot exist in oxygen. They depend on fermenting glucose to survive and multiply.”

What should you do, whether you have cancer or not? Alkalize your body, that’s what. Now keep in mind, hydrogen peroxide does not rebuild the immune system or repair the cells damaged by toxic chemo; however, there’s no better time to welcome that “change of season” for the regeneration of new cells, skin, hair and organ cells than right now. This is preprogrammed in your DNA. Men and women have the same schedule:

120 Days – NEW Red Blood Cells
90 Days – NEW Skeleton
60 Days – NEW Brain Cells, Tissue
49 Days – NEW Bladder
45 Days – NEW Liver, NEW DNA Cell Material
30 Days – NEW Hair, NEW Skin
5 Days – NEW Stomach Lining

Getting enough hydrogen peroxide inside the cancer cells is key

It has been clinically demonstrated that the spread or metastatis of cancer is “inversely proportional to the amount of oxygen around the cancer cells.” That means that the more oxygen, the slower the cancer spreads. Conversely, the less oxygen, the faster the cancer spreads. If cancer cells get enough oxygen, they will die! Hydrogen peroxide kills cancer cells, because cancer cells do not have the mechanism to break down the hydrogen peroxide and stop it from doing its work.

The key to curing cancer with hydrogen peroxide is getting ENOUGH hydrogen peroxide INSIDE the cancer cells. There is a scientific description of this: Proteolytic enzymes, also called pancreatic enzymes, literally cut apart the thick protein coating that covers cancer cells, so the immune system can recognize the cells as cancerous. Well, you don’t have to be a scientist to understand that! By cutting apart the protein coating, the hydrogen peroxide then gets inside the cancer cells

Hydrogen peroxide and several other oxygen therapies are proven to be safe and effective. Pay attention to what you buy though, because 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide is the only grade recommended for internal use. Beware of the 3% “Pharmaceutical Grade.” This is the grade sold at your local drugstore or supermarket. This product is not recommended for internal use, because it contains an assortment of stabilizers which shouldn’t be ingested. Home use advice: Some individuals add a cup of 35% food grade hydrogen peroxide to a bathtub of warm water and soak for 20 to 30 minutes. The hydrogen peroxide is absorbed through the skin, which is your largest organ. Others drink a glass of water with several drops of food or reagent grade hydrogen peroxide. Also look into digestive enzymes. Researchers have noted for years a correspondence between low levels of enzymes and cancer; in fact, enzyme therapy has been used with good results against cancers in Europe and by some doctors in the United States.

Scientists trekking deep in Colombia‘s La Mesenia Reserve Forest recently spotted a young olinguito, a mammal that was just confirmed as a new species in August. Scientists say it is the first new carnivore found in the Western Hemisphere in more than three decades.

The newfound baby olinguito, discovered by members of the conservation group SavingSpecies, is about the size of a kitten, so small that it can be grasped in one hand. Photographs of the young creature reveal tiny, curved claws that are useful for climbing trees and textured foot pads that help it grip branches.

While only recently designated as a new species, olinguitos have been hiding in plain sight for a long time. Specimens of the orange-brown creature have been housed in museums for more than a century, mistakenly identified as members of a related group of tree-dwelling mammals known as olingos. (Also see “New Carnivore Revealed: Photos of the Olinguito and Its Kin.”)

An olinguito misidentified as an olingo even lived in U.S. zoos in the 1960s and 1970s, moving frequently because—not surprisingly—the animal wouldn’t breed with olingos, said Kristofer Helgen, a curator of mammals at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History and a National Geographic emerging explorer.

NewsRescue- It has become necessary for us to cry out in view of the war declared on the New Peoples Democratic Party (NPDP) and its members by certain agents and henchmen of the Goodluck Jonathan administration who have embarked on a mission to intimidate and overawe us, using various unconstitutional means to achieve their selfish goals.

The past few weeks in particular have witnessed the implementation of a well coordinated and systematic plot to traumatise, annihilate and cripple us economically and politically in flagrant disregard of Chapter IV Section 33 to 45 of the Nigerian Constitution that guarantees our fundamental human rights as Nigerians. A few examples of the excesses of these agents of confusion and enemies of democracy would suffice:

Contrary to the provisions of Chapter IV Sections 42, 43 and 44 of the Constitution which guarantee our right as Nigerians to acquire and own property in any part of the country, our National Secretariat and most of our State Secretariats have been sealed up by the Police on the orders of those in power. This is despite the fact that we still have a court case against Alhaji Bamanga Tukur and his National Working Committee (NWC).

Two weeks ago, the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) in its over zealousness to please President Jonathan marked our sealed National Secretariat for demolition on the laughable excuse that it was originally approved as a residential building. Yet this property was being used as the National Secretariat of another political party, the National Democratic Party (NDP), before New PDP acquired it – and the same FCTA kept mute! At that time, the FCTA did not realise that it violated land use but it now wants to demolish the building in a hurry simply because the authorities perceive the new owner (New PDP) to be anti-government! What is more, the Adamawa State Lodge, also in Abuja, which we were using as temporary National Secretariat, has also been sealed off on the flimsy excuse that the area is not for commercial activities!

This invidious crackdown has been extended to individual leaders of the New PDP. The legally acquired Abuja property of His Excellency, Dr. Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Governor of Kano State, has been revoked by the tyrannical Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Senator Bala Mohammed. The same treatment has been meted to Senator Aisha Al-Hassan from Taraba State, whose event centre, A-Park Gardens, which has been in operation all these years, has suddenly been revoked by the FCTA and slated to be demolished at any time from now. Information available to us indicates that property in Abuja owned by other New PDP leaders may suffer the same fate.

Today, the security details attached to Senators Abubakar Bukola Saraki and Danjuma Goje, former Governors of Kwara and Gombe states respectively, have been withdrawn; so, too, the security details attached to our National Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje. Of course, Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi of Rivers State was the first victim and now operates without an ADC and a CSO in order to pave way for his kidnapping or assassination if peaceful ways of removing him from office have fail. The police orderlies of the Rivers State SSG and those of Amaechi’s Chief of Staff have also been similarly withdrawn without any cogent reasons.

The use of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to hound our members is no longer news. His Excellency Timipre Sylva, the former Governor of Bayelsa State, and Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki are two foremost examples. We understand that the worst is yet to come as this unserious organ masquerading as an anti-graft agency would soon be unleashed on all our key members in both the Senate and House of Representatives in an operation code-named “Operation Coerce Them Back to Tukur”.

On its part, the Nigeria Police, which has woefully failed to find a solution to the menace of Boko Haram, kidnapping, assassination and other criminal acts ravaging the country, has been given a fresh mandate to frame up our members and term them criminals in order to keep them at bay. The experiment has already started in Bayelsa, the home state of President Jonathan, where 85% of the citizens have indicated interest to work against his second term ambition due to the total neglect of the state and the entire Niger Delta region by the present administration. The Press release by the Bayelsa Police Command attached and displayed below attests to this evil strategy!

According to the Bayelsa State Police Command in its press release attached and displayed below dated October 4th, 2013 and signed by the Police Relations Officer, DSP Akhigwe Alex, on behalf of the State Police Commissioner, “Bayelsa State Command wishes to inform the general public that as a result of complaints from well-meaning citizens of Bayelsa State most of which bothers on criminality against one Richard Poekene Kpodo, a high powered investigation Committee headed by Assistant Commissioner of Police in-charge of Central Instigation Department has been set up to look into the various crimes allegedly committed by him and members of his syndicates”

But what is the crime of Chief Richard Kpodo? He has suddenly become a criminal by joining and becoming the State Chairman of the Baraje-led faction of the PDP in Bayelsa! Curiously, his present hunters have conveniently forgotten that this was the same man who was in the forefront of the Campaign Team of President Jonathan in 2011. His State Secretary, Sidi D. Godwill, was the Zonal Youth Leader of PDP. These two, together with all other key members of the Baraje-led PDP, can no longer visit Bayelsa State just because of politics!

The crackdown took a new and frightening dimension yesterday morning 26th October, 2013 when Tonye Okio, the Publicity Secretary of the New PDP in Bayelsa State, was abducted by the Bayelsa State Police Command in a commando fashion in his Abuja residence and whisked off to Bayelsa for a possible trail as a criminal just because he speaks against the tyrannical style of leadership of the present leadership in the country.

Few days ago, in a move to root out our people in Gombe State one of the mainstay of our party based on the revolutionary regime of His Excellency Senator Danjuma Goje and his unremarkable feats in areas of road construction, health, education, rural development and provision of portable water which made him the toast of the masses of Gombe and after the Baraje led PDP has overrun both the Government machinery and the aging Tukur’s faction of PDP, our leader in the State, Hon. Barr Mohammed Magaji Doho who was the Commissioner of Water Resources for eight years during the golden tenure of Senator Goje has been arrested. This bulldozer and a ruthless grass-root mobiliser together with 68 of our members were arrested by the Police Command in Gombe State for no cogent reasons.

This ruthless trampling on our fundamental human rights leaves no one in doubt that the Jonathan administration is intolerant of opposing views. Nigerians can now see what we meant when we said that these people are no democrats. They are intent on turning our country into a banana republic where the rights of Nigerians no longer count. Nigerians should prepare for the worst because today it is New PDP but tomorrow it would certainly be somebody else.
We hereby appeal to President Jonathan to be a statesman and call these dogs of war to order before they do irreversible damage to our dear country. We also call on Nigerians to intensify prayers for us and our troubled nation even as we restate our resolve not to go back on our sacred duty to reform the PDP and contribute our quota towards the evolution of a truly democratic Nigeria where the rights of all citizens are respected irrespective of their political affiliations.

Dawn Of Fascism: New PDP Members Now An Endangered Species

This invidious crackdown has been extended to individual leaders of the New PDP. man in his late 40s, who refused to utter a word despite the hysteria his presence generated, was almost lynched by a mob but for the intervention of police and other security agents.

The man, whose name could not be ascertained was discovered to possess a full grown pair of br**sts, which dangled from his chest, just like those of a young woman.
An angry mob was going for the kill when security operatives were quickly drafted to the scene. Their (mob) grouse was that it was strange and unacceptable that a man would possess dual s*x organs.

Young men near a filling station at the Sapele-Warri/New Road junction tore the man’s clothes, and revealed a very small male organ, allegedly with no scrotum – which to them suggested that he was a hermaphrodite.
Saturday Tribune gathered from some onlookers who claimed to know the man that he had been seeking spiritual solutions to his problem by moving from one church to another.

It was further learnt that at one of the churches, he started manifesting some strange behaviours while for some time he hid his male and female s*xual organs from church officials who later found out his status as a hermaphrodite.

The voice and face of the man were masculine even as he was said to also have female reproductive organs.
Men of the Nigeria Police in Sapele, and the other security operatives who were drafted to scene, quickly dislodged the irate mob, who were taking turns to fiddle with the man’s s*x organs, ostensibly to further confirm their suspicions that the man was really a freak.
He was thereafter spirited away by the police to the Sapele Police Station for protective custody and investigations….very sad..

A man who met a woman online was shocked to discover that she was actually his son’s wife when they met for the first time.
ang, the 57-year-old Chinese man, arranged to meet Lili at a hotel in Muling City in the Heilongjiang province when he made the awkward discovery.

If that was not strange enough, Wang’s son (and Lili’s husband) Da Jun had followed her to the rendezvous after discovering her online liaison and was equally disturbed to find his father waiting for her.
Wang said: ‘How could the person who gets a room with me be my son’s wife?’

In a rage, his son Da Jun allegedly beat Wang and his wife causing her to lose three teeth.

Wang, who used the online alias ‘Good at understanding others,’ had retired two years before and enjoyed meeting people online.

Lili was a stay-at-home mother and her husband Da Jun was a long-haul cargo truck driver who spent long stretches away for work. She went by the alias ‘Lonely flowers and plants’.

The pair met on an online chat room one night and decided to send each other a picture of themselves. Lili sent a photograph of an attractive friend while Wang sent one of a friend from his days in the military.

Happy with what they saw, the pair arranged to meet at a hotel in the city at 6pm one night.

Wang claimed to be the director of a company and that he was single after his wife had died two years before.

Lili said her husband was serving a five-year jail sentence for brawling and that she lived at home with her son.

On the day of the fateful meeting, Da Jun arrived home from a long-haul trip from Harbin ahead of schedule only to discover Lili’s online discussions with ‘Good at understanding others’. He also saw evidence of her rendezvous plans.

In a bid to catch her red-handed, Da Jun phoned his wife and told her he had to leave again for work. Not suspecting the ruse, Lili dropped their son off at her parent’s house and travelled to the hotel.

When Wang opened the door, Lili was shocked to find that the man was in fact her father-in-law. In shock, she said, ‘this was a misunderstanding,’ and turned to leave the hotel when Da Jun revealed himself and confronted the pair.

Da Jun said: ‘I’m out there working my a*s off to earn money, half-dead with fatigue, and all the while you two are messing around.’

As he beat his father, hotel staff called the police who detained all three.

Officers from the Bamiantong Town Muling City police station questioned Wang and Lili while Da Jun was detained for five days for assaulting his father.

The Federal High Court in Abuja has finally declared that the $15 million bribe money offered to the pioneer chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Nuhu Ribadu by former governor of Delta State, James Ibori, be forfeited to the federal government.

The hefty bribe has been a subject of litigation as the government of Delta State approached the court asking that the money be awarded to the state because it was taken from its treasury.

In its ruling, the court said that since the funds were proceeds of crime, it cannot be returned to the criminals that used to it to commit the crime of bribery.

It would be recalled that over $2.5 billion that was recovered from the Sani Abacha looting investigation by the Olusegun Obasanjo government has never been accounted for.

Members of the boko haram sect
United States on Wednesday reiterated that only military operation would not help Nigeria to overcome the challenges of terrorism, without integrated economic development.

The country said Nigeria and West African nations in general needed economic development, improvement in governance, promotion of rule of law and the political will to enforce the law, to overcome the security problem.

The US Africa Commander, Gen. David Rodriguez, and the Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs, Ambassador Linda Thomas, said this during a US Department of State live web-chat monitored at the US Embassy in Abuja.

The duo also said corruption and terrorism would continue to hold the Africa continent back if not confronted.

Linda said the US was concerned about the impact of Boko Haram in Nigeria and outside its border.

Military approach alone can’t win B’Haram war – US

“We have had a number of discussions with the government of Nigeria on how to address this issue in terms of addressing the broad development and also on how the government response to the threat.

“Our suggestions to the government is that they need a broad perspective.  It is not all about security. They do have to think about the impact of their operations on civilians. Hopefully as they go after Boko Haram, they will go into partnership with the civilian community,” she added.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday succumbed to pressure mounted on him by Nigerians  on the N255m bulletproof cars purchased for the Minister of Aviation, Ms Stella Oduah, by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, by instituting a probe into the matter.

The President’s decision came less than 24 hours after members of the House of Representatives ordered an investigation into the matter.

The House, which on Wednesday, denied   giving approval for  the purchase of the controversial bulletproof vehicles,  also ordered  the  NCAA  to produce its statement of account for the past five years.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, disclosed the constitution of a three-member  probe  panel    while fielding questions from State House correspondents after the weekly Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.

Abati said having received information on the  scandal, Jonathan had taken initial steps by asking the embattled Oduah  for explanation.

He said by  empanelling the committee to carry out further investigation, the President  had taken  a further step on the matter.

A  former Head of Service of the Federation, Alhaji Isa Bello, is the chairman of  the committee which has the National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), and Air-Vice Marshal Dick Iruenebere (retd.) as members.

The  panel, which has two weeks to submit its report ,will  among other things, ascertain whether the procurement of the vehicles followed due process and  the purpose of procurement.

The NSA office  will provide  secretariat for the committee.

Abati said, “President Jonathan has taken the initial step of asking the Minister of Aviation for explanations and that is in public domain and so it will not be right to say that the President is not well seized of the matter.

“President Jonathan has also today taken a step further, and you(journalists) will probably be the first set of Nigerians to hear this, by setting up a three-man administrative panel of inquiry.

“This panel has the assignment to investigate whether the procurement process with regard to these armoured vehicles followed due process.

“This three-man panel is also to find out the purpose to which the vehicles were procured and then to inquire into any other incidental matter.

“President Jonathan will like to assure the general public that nobody, no matter how highly placed, will be shielded or exempted from this inquiry that he has directed and that appropriate action will be taken against any person or persons who may be found guilty of misconduct or misappropriation of public funds either in this respect or in any other respect.

“Indeed, Mr. President considers this as a very weighty matter and it is not true as some people have been alleging that no action has been taken.”

Asked if Oduah  would be asked to step aside while the panel carries out its investigation, Abati replied, “I have just announced to you what I was asked to announce; that a panel of inquiry has been set up.

“The panel will address all the relevant questions and advise Mr. President accordingly within two weeks.”

Meanwhile,  the House of Representatives  has  ordered the NCAA  to produce its statement of account.

The move is to establish how many more extra-budgetary expenditure the agency had done outside the N225m  it spent   on the controversial  bulletproof   cars.

The  House, which has also asked the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria to explain how it utilised its own share of the BASA funds,   had during its   plenary on Tuesday,  directed its Committee on Aviation to investigate  the matter.

The Chairman, Committee on Public Accounts, Mr. Solomon Olamilekan, who disclosed this in Abuja, said the NCAA had been under its searchlight before the controversial car transaction became public knowledge.

He  stated that the agency had many unanswered audit queries by the Office of the Auditor-General of the Federation pending at the  committee.

He said, “The NCAA is one of the government  agencies spending money  recklessly without approval. The  money    spent on the minister’s cars is just one example.

“What we have done as a committee is to write the NCAA to produce their statement of account for the past five years.

“It is not just about the bulletproof cars; there must be other extra-budgetary expenditure based on the content of the AG’s queries before us.”

The Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Zakari Mohammed, also said  on Wednesday, that the lawmakers did not give the NCAA the nod to buy the controversial vehicles.

Responding to claims by an official of the NCAA that  the House  approved the purchase of the cars, he said they could not have been a party to an illegality.

According to him, the House rejected a proposal to approve a lump sum for the purchase of “operational vehicles” and insisted on a detailed submission where the expenditure was itemised.

He said, “Our responsibility was to see the budget line by line and to say   this is not acceptable to us, take it back.

“They took it back and came to say they  needed  operational vehicles. We said okay itemise what you want to use this money for. You can’t give us block sub-heads and they did and that is what we approved.

“We told the NCAA to itemise what operational vehicles they needed. They itemised it in black and white and there was no armoured vehicles listed.

“There is no place that a BMW armoured vehicle is listed.”

A r*pe victim in Nigeria shares her story below:

I am a r*pe victim and I want to tell my story to the world cos I want justice on the man that defiled me. I met him at Airforce junction after I wrote a Dragnet test at stadium road in PH. He went on about how he was an aide to the governor of Rivers state and that he could help me with a job since I was from Rivers state.

We discussed about the recent happenings in the state. We exchanged pins and parted ways. I went back to Lagos for business. A month later, he calls me up that his oga would like to see me. I told him I wasn’t around now and that I will call him when I came back to town (port-harcourt). I returned to PH on the 15th of October and called him, he said ok.

On the 17th of October, he sent me a bbm chat saying hope I don’t mind seeing the oga this weekend, I replied that I don’t, since I was free and besides I was job hunting so I saw this as a good opportunity to get a good job. I didn’t hear from him that day. He sends me another bbm message, saying that they went for a function in Abuja and he will cal me when they get back.

On the 21st of Oct by 7:05pm, he sent me a message that the oga wants to see me tonight and I should get dressed before 9pm. I told him that was impossible and how come his oga wants to see me at night and he replied that this is when he’s free because they had just returned from a function. I replied that I can’t come out because its late. He went on about how the oga will be angry with him, I was confused and wondered why will the oga be angry at him because he could not see me (me d one dat needs a job) so why the emotions?.

I suspected nothing at all. On the 22nd of Oct at 7:55:48am, he sent me an sms( can you see oga by 9am.bcos he’s goin for a journey dis afternoon).

I called immediately I got the sms, I received no response and later he called saying he was driving oga somewhere and that he will cal me. Later he sent me messages that I should come quickly to Elekahia so I could meet oga before he travels and that my life will change cos he(oga) helps people. I quickly got dressed, told my brothers I want to go and see someone that wants to help me get a job. I boarded a cab straight to Elekahia and called him. When I alighted, he came out to meet me some minutes later that oga is in a meeting and that I will go upstairs and wait for him. On getting to the building, it was a hotel. I asked him why here and he said this is one of his lodge where he holds his meetings and he is the one that manages the places so I should not be scared. We got to the reception and he collected a key and we went upstairs. On getting there, it was room 129, it was like an office(never knew the next door was a room) he asked me to order something and I ordered for water.

Then he started saying he wanted to discuss something with me so that I will know how to answer oga’s questions when he comes. Then he asked what if oga wants s*x from me. I replied that I don’t know because that isn’t the reason I am here. And he says he wants to tell me how it goes. I replied that I wasn’t interested and wanted to go home.

He asked me to stand up, I did and he said I should move to d room, I replied that I wanted to leave and he forcefully pushed me to the room.

I sat on the bed there and asked him “why are you doing this? I trusted you that’s why I came here and now u wanna force yourslf on me. please let me go I will give you anything you want apart from s*x”

He said he wanted N5m and picked up the glass cup and was like if I don’t co-operate, he’s going to smash my face then he hits the glass cup on me(it didn’t break). He then threatened that he was going to call his boys to come and have turns with me and they will make videos and pictures. He started bragging about all d videos he has done with his phone. Then he made a call and asked them to come upstairs.

He is above 6ft and well built and I am jst 5″3. I was so scared, when he pulled all his clothes and wore a condom and that’s when we started struggling with my clothes. He then held my throat and pulled my jeans. He hit me so hard that I started gasping for air and passed out, woke up and he was still defiling me brutally.

I couldn’t breathe. I was crying and begging him and he held me down saying “I will kill you and nobody will question me.”

When he was done, he pulled me up to the bathroom and poured water on me,when he noticed I was still gasping for air, he gave me C.P.R(mouth to mouth). I was in pains and I was shaking, I couldn’t utter a word and he asked me to get dressed so he could call a cab for me. I managed to get dressed and he held me so that I wouldn’t fall because I had difficulty walking.

He put me in a cab and that was when I asked for a police station around and reported the case. We went back to the hotel and he wasn’t there anymore and we got reports that I wasn’t the first this is happening to(the other lady destroyed the door handle of room 129 when she was trying to escape) and that another lady was also waiting for him.

So now I know I am not his only victim and I want justice. I want him punished and I also want other ladies in port-harcourt to beware of dis dude. I also munched our bbm conversation as evidence.I want him punished for what he did to me and many other ladies suffering in silence.

Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Mr. Umaru Manko
The Lagos State Police Command has rescued a 29-year-old Indian national, Singu Amanpreet, from drowning.

Amanpreet was said to be on a Cameroon-bound vessel when he fell off the ship into the water around Tincan Island.

Unfortunately for Amanpreet, his fall was not noticed immediately. However, when his travelling companions were unable to find him on board, PUNCH Metro gathered that they realised that he had fallen into the water and after an unsuccessful attempt to find him, contacted the police.

Our correspondent learned that the victim remained in the water for almost five hours until he was found by the anti-crime unit of the Marine police.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos Police Command, Ngozi Braide, while confirming the incident, said Amanpreet was found floating on a raft.

She said, “The Anti-crime unit of Marine Police on a routine patrol in the Lagos anchorage around 5.38pm, rescued one Singu Amanpreet of about 29 years. He had fallen overboard his vessel, MSC MONICA, that left the Tincan Island Port Lagos on Monday around 1pm.

“He has been taken to a military hospital for medical attention. He said he was in the sea for about five hours and if not for the timely intervention of the Nigerian Marine Police, he just might have died.”

National Chairman, PDP, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Dr. Bamanga Tukur, on Wednesday appealed to Godwill Akpabio and Ibrahim Shema, governors of Akwa Ibom and Katsina states respectively, to help the party source for funds.

Tukur, who spoke at the inauguration of the party’s National Finance Committee in Abuja, asked the members of the committee to move round the country and appealed to PDP supporters to donate money to the party.

While Akpabio is the chairman of the committee, Shema is the deputy chairman.

Some other members of the committee included Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, two ministers, representatives of the six geo-political zones and some members of the National Working Committee of the party.

Tukur told members of the committee, who were all presented with letters of appointment, that the party needed money to continue with some of its projects particularly its national secretariat complex located at the Central Business District, Abuja.

Our correspondent reported that the crisis rocking the PDP had taken its toll on the party finance.

Tukur told the committee members, “This committee is going to appeal to our members, people of goodwill  to come and support us so that  our party will continue to do its good works.

“I therefore charge you to help this party mobilise members in order to do our works like the building of our national secretariat.”

Speaking on behalf of other members of the committee, Akpabio assured Tukur that members of the committee would work as a team.

He said the problem that bedeviled the party in the past was the inability of the members of the former NWC to work as a team, which he said the committee would try to avoid.

He said, “I am emphasizing the word ‘team’ because I know that the problem we had in the recent past was that the National Working Committee of our party did not work as a team, but Mr. Chairman today, with the support of all the party faithful across Nigeria, we believe strongly that today we have a team.”

US officials responsible for carrying out drone strikes may have to stand trial for war crimes, says a report by Amnesty International, which lists civilian casualties in the attacks in Pakistan. Human Rights Watch has issued similar report on Yemen.

The Amnesty International report is based on the investigation of the nine out of 45 drone strikes reported between January 2012 and August 2013 in North Waziristan, the area where the US drone campaign is most intensive. The research is centered on one particular case – that of 68-year-old Mamana Bibi, who was killed by a US drone last October while she was picking vegetables with her grandchildren.

The report, titled, “Will I be next?” cites the woman’s eight-year-old granddaughter, Nabeela, who was near when the attack occurred, but miraculously survived.

"First it whistled then I heard a "dhummm," Nabeela says. “The first hit us and the second my cousin.”

The report also recounts an incident from July 2012, when 18 laborers, including a 14-year-old, were killed in the village of Zowi Sidgi. The men gathered after work in a tent to have a rest when the first missile hit. The second struck those who tried to help the injured.

“Amnesty International is seriously concerned that these and other strikes have resulted in unlawful killings that may constitute extrajudicial executions or war crimes,” the report reads.

Amnesty’s main point is the need for transparency and accountability, something the US has so far been reluctant to offer.

“The US must explain why these people have been killed - people who are clearly civilians. It must provide justice to these people, compensation and it must investigate those responsible for those killings,” Mustafa Qadri, the Amnesty researcher who wrote the report, says.

The report also questions the effectiveness of drone attacks in Pakistan as a means of combatting terrorists. Researchers believe such strikes may eventually lead to strengthening the terrorist cell as they “foster animosity that increases recruitment into the very groups the USA seeks to eliminate”.

“The ultimate tragedy is that the drone aircraft the US deploys over Pakistan now instill the same kind of fear in the people of the Tribal Areas that was once associated only with al-Qaeda and the Taliban,” the report reads.

The US government is aware of the Amnesty International report on drone strikes, according to the group’s head of the South-Asia program, Polly Truscott.

“We contacted the US government in advance of our report being published and the CIA referred us to the White House and the White House referred us to US President Barack Obama’s speech of May 2013 which made promises of transparency. We’ve seen little change to date,” Truscott told RT.

In his speech on US drone policy in May, President Barack Obama sought to reassure his audience that the strikes did not target individuals and were only taken “against terrorists who pose a continuing and imminent threat to the American people.”

But Amnesty International is questioning whether there was any “legitimate target” in the area.

“That US government interpretation appeared to allow the killing of an individual in the absence of any intelligence about a specific planned attack, or the individual’s personal involvement in planning or carrying out a specific attack. It stretched the concept of imminence well beyond its ordinary meaning and established interpretations under the existing international law on the right of states to self-defense.”

On the same day as Amnesty International’s report on Pakistan, Human Rights Watch released its own research on drone strikes in Yemen. The report, titled “Between a Drone and Al-Qaeda” also lists civilian casualties in recent drone strikes, two of which, according to the report, were carried out “in clear violation of the laws of war.”

The reports by both human rights watchdogs come as the US is facing growing international pressure over its drone program.
Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistani prime minister, is currently in Washington, where he is expected to talk about the drone attacks with Obama. And on Friday, the UN General Assembly will debate the use of unmanned aerial vehicles.

In a separate report, a UN investigation revealed some 33 drone strikes around the world - not just in Pakistan - that violated international humanitarian law and resulted in hundreds of civilian casualties. That report is also calling for more transparency and accountability from the United States.

That is only achievable if an international probe into America's drone activities is launched, according to Phyllis Bennis from the Institute for Policy Studies.  The U.S. won't shoot itself in the foot with an investigation she believes.

“The US has a consistent position in refusing to allow its highest officials, whether political or military, to be held accountable for the consequences of wars that are themselves fundamentally violations of international law. International law in the United States unfortunately is too often only applied to other countries and not to ourselves… And what we’ve seen is that the US government is not prepared to investigate itself. So the question of international investigations – whether it’s in the context of the international criminal code to which of course the US is not a member or whether it’s in the context of the Amnesty International, the United Nations, other agencies – all of these need to be explored and used,"

US may be guilty of war crimes over drone use – Amnesty Intl

The Federal Government on Tuesday arraigned four persons allegedly belonging to the Islamic fundamentalist sect, Boko Haram, before a Federal High Court in Lagos.
Two of the accused persons – Adamu Mohammed, Mohammed Mustapha – were specifically accused of having, in June or July this year, plotted to attack the Kirikiri Maximum Prison in Lagos to free their members held in custody.
The two other accused persons are Bura Hassaini and Mohammed Ibrahim.
The government accused Hassaini of having facilitated the activities of the militant group in Borno State by monitoring the activities of the security agents and reporting his findings on the telephone to the leadership of the sect.
All the four accused persons, who were arraigned before Justice Saliu Saidu on Tuesday, pleaded not guilty to all the three counts preferred against them by the Federal Government.
No lawyer represented the accused persons during the proceedings, but the charges were read in English language and interpreted to them in Hausa language.
The suit was with charge number, FHC/L/3169/13.
According to the  first count, the four were arrested sometime in June/July 2013 at Wasein, a hideout at Orile-Iganmu area, Apapa, Lagos, and at 3, Denton Street, Yaba, Lagos, by a team of security agents “for belonging to a proscribed organisation to wit: ‘Boko Haram’ sect”.

A group of anti-corruption protesters was today in Abuja confronted by armed hoodlums escorted by the police to frustrate a public protest aimed at forcing the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, to resign from office.

The Minister is facing a public uproar over her scandalous purchase of BMW armored cars from a cash-strapped agency in her ministry.

Dino Melaye, a former member of the House of Representatives, led the protest, but the protesters were attacked by the crowd who claimed they were there to ‘support’ the Minister.

The police arrested several protesters, including Mr. Melaye, saying he was leading an “illegal protest”.  He was taken in a car to the office of the Commissioner of Police office where he was taken into custody.

The police also seized vehicles belonging to the anti-corruption protesters, claiming they were obstructing traffic.

A contingent of police officers also prevented the protesters from leaving the Federal Secretariat area where they had gathered for the protest to the Aviation ministry.

Unlike the protesters, the police did not harass the armed hoodlums.

Commercial activities at Ijora Badia, in the Apapa area of Lagos State, came to a halt on Wednesday when policemen and robbers engaged in a gun duel.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the robbers, who had arrived Marine Bridge on several power bikes, dislodged a bullion van laden conveying a huge amount of money from its escort vehicle by opening fire at them.

It was said that the robbers started shooting sporadically into the air to scare motorists and residents, and attempted to escape with the bullion van. Their progress was said to have been slowed down by heavy traffic.

Our correspondent learnt that the Divisional Police Officer, Apapa, Usman Ndanbabo, and policemen from the Area B Command arrived at the scene after being alerted by the sound of gunfire. The robbers reportedly disembarked from the bullion van and engaged the police in a shootout.

Other police divisions within the area command were said to have also blocked all the escape routes and dispatched anti-robbery teams to assist the Apapa Division.

In the gun duel which lasted for several minutes, a member of the Nigerian Navy and two other civilians were said to have sustained injuries.

However, one of the robbers was reportedly shot dead while another was arrested.

It was learnt that the Navy personnel and the others, who were injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. As of press time, the condition of the injured could not be ascertained.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos Police Command, Ngozi Braide, told our correspondent on the telephone that the remaining suspects escaped with bullet wounds.

Braide said, “The DPO of Apapa Division was informed of the gunfire around Ijora Badia Bridge and dispatched a team of anti-robbery policemen. The robbers opened fire on the policemen and our men retaliated. One of the robbers was killed, another arrested, while the others escaped with bullet wounds.

“A yellow unregistered power bike, with the inscription, Apache Hipar, was recovered from the robbers as well as two Ak-47 rifles with double magazine each loaded with 30 rounds of ammunition.

“Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing to arrest the fleeing suspects but normalcy has returned to the area.”

PUNCH Metro had reported on October 9, 2013, that some gunmen, on a bike, shot and killed three policemen in a patrol van in Ijora Olopa area of the state.

Police sources told our correspondent that they were working on the theory that it was the same gang of robbers that operated on Wednesday.

A policeman from Area ‘C’ Police Command, Surulere, Lagos, who pleaded for anonymity, identified the dead robber as one of the culprits.

“You may recall that two weeks ago, five policemen on patrol were shot and three of them died while two survived after the robbers on a bike opened fire on their vehicle. One of the surviving policemen gave us information and from what we put together, it is highly possible that it is the same gang,” he said.
