Police To Guard Kano NYSC Lodges

From henceforth, Kano State Police Command will deploy its officers to man corps members’ lodges in the state, the state police commissioner, Alhaji Musa Abdussalam Daura has said.
Represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police, Mr. Gabriel Ikpen at the swearing-in ceremony of three weeks Orientation exercise for 2013 Batch A corps members posted to the state, Daura said there is relative peace in Kano and assured corps members of their safety while in the state.
While declaring the orientation open, Kano State Deputy Governor, Dr Abdullah Umar Ganduje pledged to improve welfare for corps members in recognition of their enormous contribution to socio-economic development of the state.
Earlier, the state Coordinator of The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kano, Alhaji Bashir Salisu Yakasai said to reassure the minds of corps members’ parents and guardians of their wards’ safety while in the state, the NYSC has introduced periodic communication with them adding that corps members would be exposed to regimental exercise and skill acquisition in the next three weeks to prepare them for future challenges.
