Del Bosque hoping to become the second coach to win the World Cup twice 

World Cup winning coach, Vicente Del Bosque told fifa.com that he should have resigned from his post as La Roja boss knowing that only one coach has ever won the World Cup twice and that was Italy's Vittorio Pozzo who won with the Azzurri in 1934 and 1938.

“Seeing as only one coach has ever won the World Cup twice, I should have done the Spanish national team a favour and let someone else come,” Del Bosque jokingly told fifa.com.

He also admitted that his players have changed since the winning run began for the Spaniards in 2008, when they won the European championship.

“That happens to everyone. When you reach 30 you’re not the same as you were when you turned 18,” he added.

Spain are in Group B, where they will face the Netherlands, Chile and Australia. Their first match is against the Netherlands on June 13 at the Arena Fonte Nova
