Super Eagles head coach Stephen Keshi has declared Nigeria’s
readiness for the proposed May 28 international friendly against
Scotland.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has already given provisional approval for the encounter billed for Fulham’s Craven Cottage home.
Keshi, speaking from Atlanta, USA, on Monday, says the encounter provides Eagles fans in London an opportunity to throng out en-mass to support their darling team, before their final departure to Brazil.
“We are delighted to be playing the Scottish team in London as part of our pre World Cup preparations and we know it would be a real test in front of a passionate crowd,” said Keshi.
“We hope that many London based Nigerians will come out en masse to give the Eagles a rousing send forth ahead of Brazil 2014″.
The last encounter between both nations in 2002 had Nigeria come back from a goal down to clinching a 2-1 win in Aberdeen.
