Out-of-favour Super Eagles defender, Joseph Yobo, is set to switch to another Turkish club Antalyaspor from Fenerbahce so as to stand a chance of featuring at Brazil 2014.
Yobo has been overlooked by Nigeria since the 2013 AFCON triumph in South Africa in February despite assurances by Coach Stephen Keshi that the experienced defender remains part of his team.
He has also been consigned to the bench at Fenerbache and needs regular football action to actualise his ambition of playing for Nigeria at his third World Cup in Brazil next year.
Meanwhile, President of unfancied Turkey top division side Antalyaspor, Gultekin Gencer, is hoping to sign Yobo and two other players from Fenerbahce during the January transfer window.
Should the deal sail through, the former Everton defender will join his compatriot and former Nigeria Olympic team skipper Promise Isaac at the club based in the Turkish holiday resort.
