An Ado Ekiti High Court has declared as unconstitutional, unlawful and of no effect, the takeover of a portion of land by the Ekiti State government for an airport project. The court also frowned at the destruction of economic trees, crops and buildings erected there. Justice Dele Omotoso also ordered the payment of N5m as general damages to the claimants for the loss they suffered for the destruction of their crops and economic trees.
