Wolves accept £3 million bid from Palace for Hennessey.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have accepted a bid from Crystal Palace for unsettled goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, with a fee agreed of up to £3 million.

Hennessey has been a back up keeper to Carl Ikeme for Wolverhampton this season, and spent three months on loan at Somerset Championship club Yeovil Town, as a replacement for Marek Stech.

Hennessey spent a spell at the Glovers, following 18 months out injured with a serious knee injury, which he suffered in Wolves' Premier League game against Manchester City in April 2012.

The Welsh keeper missed the whole of last season with the injury, as Wolves were relegated from the Championship , in a double dip relegation.

But the keeper has been unsettled at the League One club, after refusing to play in his sides recent 1-0 defeat away at Gillingham.

Gary Neville stated that the move could leave first choice keeper Julian Speroni out in the cold.

Neville said: "Transfer deadline day can be unsettling for players. At Manchester United I was sheltered from much of it because we rarely did business on the final day.

"But that is not always the case and players can become unsettled.

"Take Palace's goalkeeper for example, he may not be feeling too good about himself if they have signed Hennessey. He may be wondering what is going to happen next."

Elsewhere at Selhurst Park, Palace are tying up deals for Blackburn centre back Scott Dann, Celtic full back Joe Ledley, and Thomas Ince.
